Yes, Yes. It’s All A Rich Tapestry

I got this groovy wall hanging at the Value Village today. I thought it had a very mid-century Scandinavian feel to it. But then I got to thinking, what is Mid century Modern design anyway? According to Wikipedia, it is “an architectural, interior and product design form that generally describes mid-20th century developments in modern design, architecture, and urban development from roughly 1933 to 1965.”

Anyway, it kind of remind me of the people decanters Swedish designer Erik Hoglund made for Kosta Boda in the 60s. Not so much in style, but in attitude.

Of course, this piece is unsigned, and I’ve already spent an hour trolling the interwebs trying to figure out its origins. I just like it is all. Funny people are the new owls.
