It had to be the Kenojuak Ashevak “Talking Birds” print. She is one of my favourite all-time artists (who unfortunately passed away this year) and, although it cost me $4 over my Thrift Club limit, it was still a steal.
The story of how the print was commissioned is also a neat bit of Canadian art history.
It brings me such happiness to be able to look at this every day!
