I found this Blenko glass decanter at the Value Village a couple of weeks ago. I was attracted to the shape and colour of it when I spotted it on the shelf, but then eyeballs went all ka-ching when I saw the Blenko inventory label on the bottom.

While Blenko is still in business, pieces from the 1950s to 1970s are popular amongst art glass and mid-century collectors because the bold shapes and transparent colours look great on a shelf. This piece — the 920 teardrop decanter — was designed by a man named Winslow Anderson who worked for Blenko from 1947 until 1953. Alas, it is missing its original glass stopper, but one could still use it as a vase.
