The folks at L’Oréal Paris were kind enough to send an advanced sample of the new Magic Smooth Soufflé Makeup, $20. So I gave it a spin.
I like it’s light, mousse-y texture — it goes on super smoothly and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing makeup at all. The biggest plus of this formulation is that the texture allows it to blend beautifully. I tried the light ivory colour, which was a little light, so I blended it with a wee dab of sand beige and the two colours mixed together effortlessly. So if you like to customize your foundation, this fact is well worth noting.
I also like the fact that it doesn’t have foundation-smell and that it dries down quickly for a powdery, semi matte finish. I think it would be an awesome makeup for the humid summer months. The only caveat I have (and this holds true for any thing that can be described as powdery) is that if your skin is dry and flaky, you’d better exfoliate and moisturize well before using or else your skin will look even more parched.
Magic Smooth Soufflé Makeup will be available this January at drugstores and mass retailers.

It’s pretty good so far for me. At first i thought it made my face a little greasy, but it just seems luminous to me now.
You do have to moisturize though.
