Trading Up
Today I went to the St. Lawrence Market to do an experiment: I wanted to trade a bunch of my surplus stuff for one really good thing. So I took in a handful of Wedgwood brooches (I’ve never really gotten the hang of pins, anyway) and swapped them for the sterling 6-bar gate bracelet pictured above. It was an even trade and no money was exchanged.
This worked to my advantage as I’ve always wanted a padlocked gate bracelet (that fit me), so I was also able to cross another thing off my jewellery bucket list.
