Hell Bent For Leather Part II: Les Fleurs
It’s turning into a Canadiania-o-rama this week on the ol’ Gracious Good blog. Today we’ve got the last of my K-W VV finds: a trio of white floral brooches made of leather and stamped “CANADA” on the back. I wore them pinned in a bunch on a sweater on Monday and attracted many complements.

I have a collection of leather pins/earings too. When I was a kid, leather jools were sold in the souvenir shops – You could get all the provincial flowers – ie. trillium for Ontario, dogwood for BC,etc. I also have a poinsettia set, calla lilies, autumn leaves w/ acorns ….. One thing to be careful about – the glue dries out – I have re-glued bits/pieces a number of times.
Good advice. What is the best kind of glue to use? I’ve tried to repair a few things with superglue, but always seems to pop off again after a few months.
I believe I used white glue.
Thanks! I’m always looking for better ways to fix stuff.
