Rock And Roll Finds

I like to visit the Value Village before and after Covet Garden meetings. I also like rocks. Which makes Tuesday’s finds even more fun. First off, I found a rock watch. Remember these watches from the 1980s? I’ve always wanted a Tissot rock watch and until then, this 1991 Labatt Brier presentation watch will have to suffice. Its body is made of granite (which is why it’s an appropriate prize for a curling tournament).

Sometimes it’s a refreshing change to be able to appreciate the majesty of regular rocks (not just glittering gemstones). Next up are a pair of earrings marked 925S — which usually denotes Scandinavian Silver. There’s no maker’s mark. The polished snowflake obsidian match the rock watch. The drops look like a plumb bobs. The also weigh a ton.
