Cuffed

I used to wear armloads of bangles or big chunky cuffs all the time. But when I started doing comedy I sort of gave it up, mainly because I talk with my hands and bracelets kept flying off. I don’t perform much these days, so why not arm up?

Here are two recent bodacious bracelet purchases, both from the Value Village. The one pictured up top is some sort of studio piece made from a silver spoon and hand hammered bits and pieces. I posted a picture of it on Instagram and someone commented that it looked like it was made by a mermaid. That’s a good thing.

The second cuff is stamped Bell Copper. I’ve had quite a few Bell pieces but most have Southwestern vibes. When I first spotted this piece I thought it was maybe a Renoir or Monet (both mid century brands that specialized in copper modernist costume jewelry).
