More Wishes

At the beginning of December, I created a bunch of visual wishlists. The goal is to be more mindful of my purchases so that I’ll save up for things I really want instead of blowing all my dough on impulse buys. This exercise is also useful because sometimes I will hold off spending until I find things on my wishlist second hand. I post these things on Instagram so I can put them out into the cosmic algorithm. This month I had a Braun Travel alarm, a Gary Taxali book, an Andy Rementer sculpture and a fish phone on the list. And I found a variation of the Deiter Lubs-designed clock at the VV just days later!

The above and below goodies, alas, have not turned up in any second hand shop. Not yet, any way.
Above, clockwise from to left: lacy seperates from the Gap; Camper Mary Jane’s; a Joe Fresh tulle skirt; and a Toronto Public Library tote bag.

I accidentally included the book bag twice (because it is so nice, and priced at under $10 it’s probably the only thing I can afford at the moment). I forget where the top is from, the jeans are Old Navy kids and the jade Elsa Peretti heart is totally out of my league.

And here’s my post holiday wish list, mostly comprised of things I saw on Facebook marketplace with the exception of the Marni x G-Shock collaboration which I didn’t even know existed until I saw it on a friend’s Instagram feed.
