Pretty Bird: Deco Silver Enamel and Marcasite Flamingo Brooch
I’ve already written about deco-era enamel figurative brooches, but I wanted to show a much prettier version. Flamingos were a favourite fowl of deco designers, and this one is particularly grand: it’s big (7cm) and it’s in very good condition (though I suspect the legs may have been re-enamelled). I’m starting a new two-month gig today, maybe I will wear it with my new ensemble.
Can you tell me how I can find another brooch like this? My original went missing and I want to locate another.
