Bringing It Back: Vintage Turquoise Bolo Tie
Last summer, when I was at my parent’s trailer with my nieces, we went to the Salvation Army in Southampton. My middle niece picked up a bolo tie. I asked her if it was a horsey thing (M. is an accomplished horsewoman), but she said, “No, I’m bringing the bolo back.”
Last Friday, I found this bolo, which I bought for the ridiculously huge turquoise cabochon (I want to take up silver smithing again, and this would make for an amazing bracelet), but now my niece’s words are ringing in my ears. Maybe it is time to bring the bolo back. For June, I will try and rock this look at least once.
