RIP Kenojuak Ashevak

One of my favourite artists, Kenojuak Ashevak, passed away on Tuesday morning. Below is my pictorial tribute: A framed image of “Sun and Owl Foliage” from an Ashevak calendar that I have framed in my office — probably the closest thing I’ll ever come to an original of her colourful and joyful works. Her “Enchanted Owl” is probably the best known of her works, appearing on a stamp and everything, but her style is iconic. I thank her for all the beauty she has provided to the world.
