Clasp Your Hands, Say Yeah!
Look at these vintage necklace clasps. Aren’t they beautiful? I found the répoussé clasps in bags of broken jewellery and saved them for years until I found the amethyst and coral beads that were worthy of these closures. I love the design and the craft of these tiny silver pieces from (I think) the turn of the 19th century.
The gilt silver is original to the coral torsade necklace. It looks nice worn in the front instead of at the back. It probably dates from the 1960s or ’70s.
While I like old things, I never wish to live in a bygone era (although watching Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris kinda made me think I’d like to drop by for a brief visit).
