Loulou de la Falaise 1948 – 2011
I was very sad to learn of Loulou de la Falaise‘s passing this weekend. The Franco-Anglo style icon was not only a muse to Yves Saint Laurent, she was an accomplished jewellery and accessories designer in her own right. In her youth, she was the head-scarved epitome of YSL’s Rive Gauche bohemian look and later on, her personal style — a marriage of chunky jewels mixed with the androgyne “le Smoking” silhouette, became the embodiment of the label’s more mature looks in the 70s.
As a tribute, I put together a few pieces that I think Loulou might like.
I just got this blouse at the Gap Factory Outlet at the Dufferin Mall. I repeat, there is a Gap Factory Outlet at the Dufferin Mall.
