Champions: Chanel Card Holder
Since I’m not buying anything new this month, thought I’d celebrate some of the stalwarts of my wardrobe, starting with this Chanel card holder.
It was a gift from Chanel Beauty back in the late ’90s. It’s probably the least expensive thing you can get from Chanel (they currently go for about $250). But you know what? I use it everyday and it’s still holding up like a champ. The plating has worn away from the CC logo a little, but the caviar leather, while stretched, looks new. Unless I lose it, I will probably never replace it.

I’m not stauking you, honest!
It just seems that we collect similar items.
I have been collecting jools for the last 40 years. I have lots! Recently I have been culling my lower end items and selling them at markets and an antique mall. I collect Chanel – I have scarves, perfume bottles, and some wallets that are probably knock offs. I also have a bracelet and ERRs that are prob. knock offs too.
I have a small collection of Sherman and a medium collection of bakelite. I love Rafael but only have 2 pieces by him.
I also inherited some family jools so have some nice Victorian pieces.
My favourite era is Art Deco.
I live in NorthWestern Ontario – close to TBay. Not as many opportunities here but I have discovered some great finds over the years. One of my best finds were 2 pieces of Georg Jensen that I paid $12 for.
Thanx for listening. Its so nice to find someone with the same interests.

Stalk away! I like meeting other folks who are as jewellery crazy as me. I actually have a post coming up for tomorrow that features one of my two Rafael necklaces.
One day I’d like to go hunting for jewels up north.
