Retro Made in Western Germany Flocked Handbag

Found this 1960s (I think) floral flocked fabric handbag for $4 at the Value Village on Friday. There’s a little label on the inside that says “Made In Western Germany.” A little Google search revealed thousands of textile (mostly tapestry) bags with the exact same hardware. At some point Western Germany must have been churning these babies out 24/7.

I think it’s very pretty and will make an adorable springtime purse.I’m imagining myself skipping down the sidewalk, swinging this little sac a main as I step down the street.
