Champions: Gold Drop Earrings
When I was a kid, I went through a china doll phase. I had a few reproductions, but mostly I had books about them. In the Edwardian times, a lot of these bisque-headed beauties work little earrings that looked like drops of gold.
When I was a teen, I spent my summers cruising yard sales and thrift shops, mostly looking for clothes but picking up the odd jewellery item. One of my favourite finds was a pair of costume earrings that looked like the doll drops.
When I was in my 20s, most of the gilding had worn off my drop earrings, so I went to the jewellery district on Yonge Street and made my first investment jewellery purchase, purchasing this pair of gold drop earrings. They are still my go-to earrings to this day.
