Window Shopping: Paloma Picasso Venezia Collection for Tiffany

Tiffany Bloor St. Window Display

Strolling down Bloor St. with Mr. Andrew last Saturday when I snapped these pictures of the Venice-themed windows at Tiffany and Company. While I cant resist the allure of sparkly stones, I like the delicate look of Paloma Picasso‘s Venezia Collection of just-gold rings, bangles and earrings. Launched in 2011, each piece was inspired by the city in a different way — the bracelet pictured below echoes the fluid arches of the grand old architecture and blue evening skies, and the spiralling drop earrings were inspired by hanging lanterns that line the canals at night.

While I’ve never been to Venice, the collection has a kind of simple Sophia Loren-as-a-fiery-peasant-girl summery vibe (not that any peasant girl could afford jewellery from Tiffany’s). And the dramatic window dioramas make me long to visit Italy (albeit, wearing my hot Nonna wardrobe).
