Do Over: Hello Gorget!

Embossed Tin Gorget

I found this cool Gorget — aka a piece of armour worn to protect the neck — for $5 at Abraham’s on Queen Street West last week. It appears to made of hand hammered and embossed tin. The coat of arms depicted on it seems to be made up, so I’m assuming that this pieces was made for re-enactors or as part of a costume.

Going on the assumption that it has not historical importance, I decided to marry it with a chunky old chain to make this crazy necklace.
