A Day at The Bay

the bay 6th floor

Last Thursday I was invited by The Hudson’s Bay Co. to preview their Spring Patio Collection for an upcoming blog post on Covet Garden (you’ll have to stay tuned until next week for that). While there, Arren Williams, The Bay’s Creative Director of Home, hinted that it would be worth our while to check out the revamped 6th floor decor sections. And he wasn’t lying. With it’s dark would floors and white, chocolate and grey backdrops the newly laid out collections of furnishings and housewares felt super spacious and fashion forward. It was like I’d fallen into someone’s design porn Tumblr!

If you didn’t already know, The Bay is also showcasing collections by Winnipeg-based company, EQ3, DwellStudio‘s graphic print furnishings and a new line called Curations, which has a Restoration Hardware vibe (without Restoration Hardware prices). I also pooped down the check out tablewares on the 5th floor, were I spotted these whimsical Kate Spade hoot owls. I was reminded of a Facebook conversation I had weighed in earlier in the day. An acquaintance is getting married and she was wondering where to register. And I was thinking, The Bay all the way, man.
