1970s Seiko Automatic

Can’t believe it’s March already. I still haven’t finished thanking folks for Christmas presents. In fact, I feel like I’m way behind on almost everything. Maybe my obsession with watches is born out some futile belief that collecting timepieces will magically keep my on schedule? Who knows, I have several theories to help me rationalize the irrational attraction I have to horology.

Speaking of magic, I got this “Me Decade”-era Seiko 17 jewel hi-beat movement automatic watch in a bag of broken watches. It actually works but is running fast. I hope that if I wear it for a couple of days, the oils and stuff in the innards will eventually regulate themselves and it will keep good time.
