Window Shopping In New York

Mr. Andrew and I were in New York for a whirlwind trip last weekend. While we were there to hang out with our niece on the occasion of her 18th birthday, we did get to do a little window shopping. On the way to central park, I took some snaps of some of my favourite jewellery displays. Like the timeless Alahambra collection at Van Cleef & Arpels pictured above.

And speaking of classics, I spent a good deal of time fogging up the glass at A La Vielle Russies. The pieces pictured above and below are what you would desctibe as “important jewels” — bijoux that once passed through the hands of famous jewellers such as Cartier or Fabergé, or were once owned by royalty and other potentates.I looked. I did not touch.
