New Hair

Here’s a picture of my new summer hairdo. As always, my tonsorial inspirations are Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett.

I also wanted to be a red-head again. I’ve been wrasslin’ with acceptance that my hair is turning grey and I that I should just somehow accept it and the fact that I have always felt like a redhead trapped in a brunette’s body. So I tried going blond to subtly go grey. And I let all the colour grow out and let the silver streaks show. But I still felt like a redhead, just one that was trapped in a greying haired person’s body.

The key word in my decision to go red is “trapped.” Now that I’m a carrot top again, I feel right.
