Midweek Modness: Erik Granit Ring

Had a great vintage hunt last Saturday at the Dundas West Fest. I was especially delighted by the baubles I bought from Alynne Lavigne. My favourite find was this sterling silver kinetic ring by famed Finnish designer Erik Granit (1930-1988). While I don’t know a lot about Granit’s personal life, other than that we was born and worked in Helsinki, his work is renowned for its elegant minimalism. This is the first Granit piece that I’ve come across in my wanderings, so even though it is a simple ring I am super excited about it!
