Ring Week: Communion Ring

Most of the rings I’m featuring this week are pieces that, for some reason or another, I’ve never shared here before. Today, it’s because it;s a ring I’ve had around for a while, but never wear. Why? I’m not a religious person so I’m generally feel like a hypocrite sporting any religious iconography. But I like birds, and this sterling and enamel ring is festooned with them. There’s a little dove on the front crest which is held up by two eagles. I still wouldn’t wear it, and I’ve tried but failed to sell it. Still, I kind of like having it around.
