Protection

Here’s a Hamsa or Hand of Fatima charm I found in a bag of broken jewellery. The Hamsa is an old amulet used to protect the wearer from the evil eye. This Hamsa is from Israel and is also decorated with other words (I think it says Israel in Hebrew) and symbols for extra good fortune. It hangs from a safety-pin that makes my think it once protected a baby.
