Vintage Roses

When I was preparing for last Sunday’s Junction Flea, I started taking stock of recurring jewellery themes. Roses are by far the most popular flower. Heck, after hearts and crosses, they are probably the most popular figural motif. Especially with vintage bijoux. It’s not just jewels — I saw a lot 1980s style cabbage rose prints showing up on the hip young ladies at the Flea.

Here are two rosy gems from my stash of jewels that I keep meaning to fix up: A reverse carved lucite pendant and a Made in England porcelain pin.
