Back To Blogging

While I been blogging here for over 10 years (I’m too lazy to actually check the facts). I’ve been letting it slide in favour of platforms like Pinterest and Instagram. Now that Meta is bringing in moderation changes across its it entities (including Facebook and Threads), I feel like the time to abandon those mediums might be nigh. On one hand, posting a picture of my latest thrift find is easier than writing a more substantial story. And it’s an easy way to assure friends and family that I’m alive and thriving. So I’m going to endeavour to be more active on the blog. It will probably be chaotic at first as I try to figure out the function (originally it was about self promotion but had sort of turned into an inventory of things I find at thrift shops like this Clare Waight Keller x Uniqlo coat and Gap popover that I got at the Goodwill in Kitchener last week) and clothes that I probably didn’t need (like this deeply discounted sequinned top and trousers I found at Giant Tiger on Monday).

To make this more meaningful, I will try and insert some relevant observations like “I bought the sparkly ensemble to wear to a work trip I’m taking to Los Angeles at the end of the month. Although that trip may be canceled because LA is burning because of climate change that is in no doubt caused by unnecessary travel and the over production of fast fashion.
