Fix Pix

My intention for January was to finish up various repair projects. And here it is, the 19th and I’ve finally crossed three things of the to-do list. All three only needed a bit of glue. I bought some earlier in the month but then I couldn’t find the pieces (two watch crystals and a necklace) that needed fixing. Then I found the jewels but misplaced the glue. Any way the universe came together and these babies are now curing on my desk.

I got both of these pendant watches at the Chelsea Flea last Fall. The crystal on the cube watch popped off on the bus ride home so I’m hoping a little super glue will secure it. It was also hung from a bracelet so might attach it to a neck chain so it doesn’t get knocked around so much.

The Peking glass Buddha came from the same trip to the Flea. It was missing a crystal. I went to the St. Lawrence Antique Market in November and picked up a non-working cocktail watch to harvest the tiny faceted acrylic crystal. It snapped into place but again I added a bit of glue as extra insurance. And since the glue was already out, I reattached the lucite part of this 1970s choker.
