Teeny Tiny Timexes

Somehow I’ve amassed a lot of teeny tiny Timex watches. They are all vintage windups. At least two were got swapping with my friend Sarah. Three came with a ten dollar bag of jewelry I got at a community yard sale. And two were found in a cigar box full of watches that I bought last weekend at the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors in York, Pennsylvania.

Most are working but needed new straps. One requires a replacement crystal, which I harvested from a busted Cinderella watch by US Time (brief history, Timex started out in 1854 as the Waterbury Clock Company, changed its name to the United States Time Corporation in 1944, introduced the Timex line in 1950 and then fully rebranded as the Timex Corporation in 1969).
