Catching Up

This summer has been too much. Too much heat. Too much drama. As a result, I’ve been neglecting my blogging duties. But I’m back to brag about two recent sidewalk finds. Both are MCM wire chairs. The one pictured up top needs some reupholstering. I have done this kind of seat repair in the past but that was 10 years ago and I no longer have a staple gun. I shall ask around to see if someone I know has one that I can borrow.

The big freebie find is this child-sized Bertoia chair by Knoll. One leg is a little wonky, probably because a non-child sat on it, it is missing its leatherette seat cover and it needs a stripping and repainting. But its wee scale makes me think that one could display it as a sculpture not seating. That is if one had surfaces in their home, which I do not.
