Makeovers

For the first part of this infernal winter, my go-to headgear was a red knit triangle scarf from Joe Fresh and an orange toque that I got from Dollarama. Then one day I went to put them on and couldn’t find them. I can only assume I forgot them at my mother’s apartment before the fire. Since the building is now considered unoccupiable for at least three weeks, I set out to replace these missing items. I was able to find an orange cap at the Value Village (though it doesn’t fit my loaf-of-bread head as well as its predecessor.) The scarf is long sold out, so I set out to knit a new one myself. It took a week and I was afraid that winter would be over before I finished it. But we had a wee snow storm today so I was forced to stay in and finish. The end.
