Enamel Week: Victorian Seed Pearl Slide
I can’t get enough of enamelled jewellery. Which means I have more enamelled bijoux to share with y’all this week, starting with the Victorian blue enamel and seed pearl slide I found on the weekend. It’s missing a little pearl and some of the enamel is chipped, but it’s still pretty cool. It also helped solve the mystery of how old watch slides worked — because it must have hung on a pretty big chain, it has a big opening and I can see that inside is a 100-year-old ball of cork that would hold the slide in place. I added the slide to an old 9ct gold watch chain that I wear as a bracelet.
