1960s Thai Bangkok Dress
This week has been just plain weird, but last weekend was magical. So let’s revisit the magical times.
We went to a lovely joint birthday dinner for my sister-in-law Teri and her sister Rita. One of the presents for the birthday girls were a pair of dresses that belonged to an aunt. This pink print gown has a label that reads “Thai Bangkok” and another that says “Lourden Taylor, Toronto” — no doubt a boutique that tried to capitalize on the cachet of Lord & Taylor.
Anyway, both dresses are in fabulous shape as are Teri and Rita sisters. Teri wore her gown — a black and white, Marimekko-ish print in the same style as the dress pictured above — to the party.
