My Summer Vacation: Escape To New York Part 1

As previously mentioned, I was on vacation last week. For the first part of the week I was in New York City with my niece Sarah. Here are some of my holiday snaps. Above: The Empire State Building.

Even the sidewalks offer typographical treasures!

There was an earthquake while we were there. Like this Taco Truck, we were in SoHo when it happened. While we noticed that a building was evacuating, we did not notice any shaking.

We walked and walked and walked all over Manhattan. On our last night we ambled through Central Park, then down Park Ave. past the fountain at Rockefeller Plaza.

We walked down as far as Grand Central Station when my tired old dogs gave up the ghost. I’d never been in Grand Central Station before. We looked up at the ceiling mural and noticed that it was four constellations short of a full zodiac. Another tourist (probably a Scorpio) asked us why. Unable to Google an answer for her, she left.
