Do Over: Crystal Charm Necklace

If you want to make your own jewellery, the first thing you should buy is a good pair of needle nose pliers. Maybe two pairs in case you are prone to misplacing things. Then, before you spend too much money at one of those shops down in the bead district, go through all your old, tangled and unloved jewellery and see if you can’t marry two pieces into one.

In this case I had two silver tone chains of different lengths, plus a handful of charms salvaged from single earrings and the like. I attached the two chains together, attached the charms to the chains at various intervals and voilà — a starry nighttime necklace.
