I Found An Art: Another Inuit Print

At the new Value Village in Kitchener, I also found a cool Inuit (or Inuit style) print. It looks to be an image of a woman cleaning a seal skin. An ulu sits on top of the stretched hide. The image is silk screened onto a small (14cm x 6.5cm) slate plaque. The initials J.K. are etched into the slate. On the back, you can see the words “Canada” and the residue of a label. I’ve never seen a plaque like this before, so I can’t say it’s actually Inuit or not, but it’s been a while since I found any art that made me as happy as this one. And it was only 99 cents!
