Bright Lights, Big City

My sister and I were born only 10 1/2 months apart. To celebrate our month of twindom, we go shopping, buy ourselves some clothes and pretend that the other bought the new outfit as a gift. It helps that this excursion happens two weeks into the new year, when price markdowns are rediculously low.

To prepare for our annual shopping trip, I scouted out the sales at Joe Fresh. They already have some spring stuff out, including some neon-coloured, neoprene coats.

Call it new-rave, but acid brights are back. I got the Bright Yellow Rainbow Watch from the brother- and sister-in-law for Christmas (thanks David and Terri. And guess what? It matches the neon socks I bought at a post-Boxing Day sale.

You don’t want to do the full Nicki Minaj with this look, but pops of colour are totally doable when paired with a nice neutral (like these shoes I spotted on the subway on Monday).
