Paulette’s Original Chicken and Donuts

Paulette’s Original Chicken and Donuts is a newish place in Leslieville. It is pretty much as the name describes — you can go there and buy some fried chicken or some fried dough. I do not know where this chicken/donut trend originated. The first I heard of it was Federal Donuts in Philadelphia. Anyway, I ate at Paulette’s a couple of weeks ago and it was very tasty. Like Federal, the bird is fried Korean-style and the donuts are dense and small like at the Donut Plant in NYC.
