Thrifty Shifts

thrift finds

I found these three dresses at the Value Village in Kitchener last weekend. Technically, none of them are shifts (a simple short, usually sleeveless, above-the-knee dress with a fitted bust and straight or narrow A-line skirt). They are close, but I wanted to be accurate. I just couldn’t resist the rhyming headline.

I also couldn’t resist the minimalist styling of the navy blue, Mad Men-era gown or the cartoony flapper print on the early 1980s tube dress. And the Virginia Johnson cotton tunic isn’t even my size, but at $7.99, the fabric was just to beautiful to pass up.
