T-Shirt Week: Cool Kids

Just a random assortment of t-shirts that I just can’t quit. The one in the top left corner is by famed photographer Ryan McGinley. It says “Everything you like I liked five years ago.” I’m pretty sure that I’ve had this t-shirt for at least ten years. Then there’s my 1987 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers concert, which is almost threadbare, but not as worn as the t-shirt I got at a screening of Bruce Macdonald’s movie Roadkill in 1989 (not a gimmie shirt — I paid for it). And finally, a Free Newfoundland shirt that my aunt Nance bought me the last time I visited her in St. John’s. We were buying souvenirs for the nieces and nephews in Kitchener and she cut a deal with the shop’s proprietor to get an extra so I picked this one.
