I Found An Art: Nook Nuqingaq Green Soap Stone Seal
I was rearranging the art this weekend to make room for the foxy squirrel. As a result, I’ve got all my Inuit art grouped together in one room now. And since I had Inuit art on the mind, I picked up this charming green soapstone seal sculpture for $15 at the St. Lawrence Antique Market last Sunday. It is by artist Nook Nuqingaq aka Nook Newkinga of Iqaluit (formerly Frobisher Bay). I like the composition of this green guy — my pictures don’t do it justice. I should attempt to get a good shot of all the sculptures I’ve found grouped together.

Really nice piece. Great find. What are its dimensions.
Sorry for the slow reply. The post that you commented on is from 2013, and I don’t often get around to checking back that far. Thank you for your note and to answer your question, I no longer have this piece so I can’t tell you the dimensions.
