Freebie Friday: Free Blanche

Last Saturday’s Nuit Blanche wasn’t the most awe-inspiring art event ever (maybe I was just exhausted by the wonder that was Hermès Festival des Métiers earlier in the day), but we still managed to snag some free ephemera from the event. Open Studio’s event “Nui Blanc: Knock Off Merchandise Factory” was a collection of silkscreened “counterfeit commemorative mementos for the evening.” We got to watch printers screen their creations and also got to take their illegitimate merchandise home with us.In fact we got two prints: the doggy poster pictured above and the postcard-sized Dali print pictured below.

Both the Hermès show and this event at the Open Studio have got Mr. Andrew and I thinking about learning a craft.
