Freebie Friday: Sally Chicken Print
I found this print pinned to a post on Queen Street West. It delights me when people share their artwork with the city. Of course I was greedy and then brought it home with me (it didn’t want it to get ruined in the rain) but I promised that I would take some of my drawings and put them out on the streets to help maintain the free art equilibrium.
This print is signed Sally Chicken 2015. I Googled, but I could find no info on this artist.

Dear Ronda,
My name is Sally Chicken I drew that picture. however it wasn’t red when I put it up. 🙂
I was just hanging out at my home in rural Australia when my sister sent me a link to your blog post and it made my day!
I was living in Toronto for 18 months but as an artist I found it very hard to find exhibition opportunities. I am very obsessive when it comes to drawing, so when I found myself unemployed during the Canadian winter I just started drawing. I was spending at least 8 hours a day drawing. So after a couple of months I had a huge pile of drawings and no where to exhibit. So I started sticking them around Toronto hoping that someone would appriciate them. I’m so happy that someone did.
I just saw your comment now. Thanks for the update and for contributing such beauty to the world!
