Things I Bought (UK Version).

I was end of month broke when I was in the UK last week for work. Thar didn’t stop me from going to Primark and picking up some garments. First was this souvenir “Three Lions” ringer t-shirt (pictured above). Second was this crocheted polo (pictured below).

Third but not least was this long, rib knit maxi skirt. I had originally gone in seeking a black crocheted maxi skirt but it was not available in my size. This one was on sale and I thought it would look good with the polo (it does not but I like it with this oversized blazer I got in Neuchâtel).

All of this shopping happened on our way to see Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. I paid more for my movie concessions than I did for these three pieces.

The next day I got to the airport too early and did a little poke around the shops at Heathrow to fill the time. At WH Smith I bought myself a pretty pastel fountain pen (Allure by Waterman’s Paris). And for my first ever duty free Watch purchase, I picked up this candy necklace themed Swatch (it was on one of my wish lists and was on sale and tax free).
I am not unhappy with this mini spree. It also helps that we’re having a heat wave in Toronto so my spending in Britain is offset by being locked in here in Canada. There are heat advisories for the rest of the week. If I can stay away from online shopping then my books will be balanced again.
