Californivacation Part 1

Mr Andrew and I are on a rare, non-family or friend-related vacation to Los Angeles. Our first day was obliterated by airline shenanigans. The second day started much better with a morning spent by the pool and an afternoon trip to Koreatown. This excursion was driven by a drive to find Gummy Muscat (chocolate-covered grape candy) and to visit a Japanese dollar store.

As you can see we were successful on both counts. I got the Gummy Choco and we visited Daiso. I had hoped to get a charger battery for my cellphone, a notebook and any other fun stationary supplies but that part of the mission was a bust. I did, however get some cool hats (because it is hot and sunny in Los Angeles and I forgot my bucket hat back at the hotel). My favourite is the old lady visor pictured up top but the crushable sun hat pictured below is infinitely more practical.

Whilst at the Daiso, I got some black mesh slippers because they reminded me of the Row’s sheer shoes (but $3 instead of $300).

This picture doesn’t do them justice.
