Curiosity Killed The Cat

Curiosity drives my passion for watches. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than researching history, materials and complications. Sometimes it gets me into trouble—like when this $45 “tourbillon” popped up on my timeline. I knew it was too good to be true but also wanted to roll the dice. In person, it’s just two decorative spinning “cages” on top of a functioning automatic movement in a plastic case. It looks like a cross between an RM and a talking Simpsons watch that I got at Burger King decades ago. It’s humbling to make mistakes but also educational.
