The Do-Overs

Just some recent upcycling projects. Above are a bunch of semi-precious bead drops (from some earrings that I got at the Value Village) that I added to a long, glass bead necklace.

I recently found two studio made sterling rings at the Value Village. One features a cluster of amethyst crystals, the other (on the right) had a bunch of watch parts dangling from it. Very steampunk but it was missing a bunch of bits and while I probably have plenty of gears and things that I could have replaced them with, these wee mechanisms were jabby and inconvenient. So I swapped them out with some tumbled amethyst charms from a broken charm bracelet.

I’m also proud of these upcycled enameled bat earrings. They had little loops at the base that were just crying out for something a little extra. I knew I had some jade drops somewhere in storage but it took me awhile to find them. I added the jade in the summer. It’s possible that I’ve posted about them before but I don’t remember and it’s the holidays so I’m too lazy to go through the blog to check.
Go bats!
