Ear Things

During last week’s string of snow events, I did some earring projects. Mostly I replaced the posts and hooks on pieces I already had. These deer horn pendants, for example, had some grotty green fish hooks. I don’t like fish hooks because I always lose them. I had a bunch of these hoops left over from a past project. I think they look so much cooler now.

I wore out the original hoops on these Running Fox beads earrings a long time ago. I bought some sterling silver replacements but they were too big for such delicate pendants. I spotted some silver Joe Fresh ovals at Shoppers Drug Mart and swapped them out. The earrings feel much more balanced now.

Then I hung these vintage Taxco dyed onyx drops from the round hoops. And finally I took some vintage studs to use as temporary posts for these snake eye turquoise pendants. I lost one the previous post set and I’m quite broken up about it.
