Friendlies

Last week we got together with our friends Katya and Stephen and Eric and Jonathan. I’ve known both couples since the Junction Flea days. And while our get together was about celebrating spring and enjoying each others company, of course there was a little wheeling and dealing on the side. From Katya, I got this hammered copper brutalist necklace. She had sent me a picture of it when she found it and I’ve spent many hours researching it with little luck. While both Katya and Eric are experts in mid century designs, and they both thought it looked familiar, Katya was thinking it was maybe Finnish while Eric was leaning toward Canadian. It is now mystery to crack.

From Eric, I traded a bunch of brooches for this amazing Rafael Alfandary pendant watch. I did not realize that Rafael made pendant watches but Eric found an example in an old catalogue. Watches and Canadian jewelry are two of my major interests so I’m super excited to add this to my collections.
